Iraq does not want us over there.
If the shoe throwing wasn’t a sign maybe this is?
BAGHDAD – More than 20 employees of Iraq’s defense and interior ministries have been arrested on allegations they were plotting to revive Saddam Hussein’s outlawed Baath party, government officials said Thursday.
A spokesman for Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, Yassin Majid, told The Associated Press that 24 employees of the two ministeries were arrested on suspicion of “facilitating activities for terrorists and outlaws and officials of the former regime.”
Interior Ministry spokesman Maj. Gen. Abdul-Karim Khalaf told reporters that 23 people, primarily traffic police officers, had been arrested over the past five days in a Baath party plot but he dismissed suggestions they were planning a coup.
Another security official put the figure at 25 and said a brigadier general in the traffic police was the highest-ranking figure. Most are low-level ministry employees, he said. The official, who has access to the investigative file, spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak about the matter to the media.
A third security official said those in custody were believed to have links to al-Awad, or “Return,” a Sunni underground organization founded in 2003 to try to restore Saddam and the Baath party to power.

“$8 Trillion Dollars” “How Much is This Really Costing!” – Dr. Paul
Amidst the hand-wringing of the automaker bailout debate, Ron Paul took the opportunity on the House floor yesterday to remind Congress that the real culprit behind the financial crisis is the Federal Reserve, and that allowing the Fed to continue to print money without audit will only prolong the pain.
“If you look at the grand problem we have it’s much much bigger,” said Paul.

India blamed Pakistan and I knew it was going to unfold
I knew it, as soon as India blamed Pakistan, I knew we would jump on board to help them invade, place sanctions or do whatever else India wants to do to further irritate the people of the middle east (our self-created enemy). It’s a simple equation; with an enemy comes fear, with fear people are willing to give up there civil liberties/freedoms and as a bonus you get a war which translates to $$$. Here comes another bullshit war or at the very least will send more Americans to die or have their lives ruin in a far off country that did not hate us prior to our invasions.
Rice ‘pushed’ the Pakistani leaders to move against the perpetrators of the terror strikes warning that ‘otherwise, the US will act,’ the ‘Dawn’ reported on Saturday.
The clear message was conveyed to Pakistan’s top leadership by Rice during her brief stopover in Islamabad on Thursday, diplomatic sources said, giving credence to the report.
Rice said that there was ‘irrefutable evidence’ of the involvement of Pakistani elements in the Mumbai attacks, the sources said.
She travelled to Pakistan after a visit to India, where she was shown the extensive evidence gathered by investigators to prove the linkages between the Mumbai attackers and Pakistan-based elements, especially the banned Lashker-e-Toiba terror group, the sources said.

US Senator John McCain has said he believes that if Pakistan does not act against individuals and groups linked to the Mumbai Terror attacks, it could be a “matter of days” before India carries out surgical strikes against such elements.

Why it’s Important to Bear Arms
Why it’s important to bear arms. In case you forgot history. You know, the part where the government gets too big and you can’t do shit about it?
Listen to the whole thing the very end is the best part. “It’s not about duck hunting, it’s about protecting us from you guys up there (pointing towards the legislators). – Dr. Suzanna Hupp”
Ms. Hupp gives a great interview here but FOX NEWS cuts her sound as she is speaking (I hate that channel on so many levels).

Thank God for Russia Today!
Corporate Media Ignores Planned Deployment of 20,000 Troops in U.S.
I love Russia Today and… I hate CNN, FOX News, the Huffingon Post, etc.
On November 30, in a little noticed news article appearing in the Washington Post, the Pentagon announced the planned deployment of 20,000 rapid reaction troops inside the United States in direct violation of the 1878 Posse Comitatus Act (18 U.S.C.1385), ostensibly to help state and local officials respond to a domestic catastrophe or terrorist attack. “The long-planned shift in the Defense Department’s role in homeland security was recently backed with funding and troop commitments after years of prodding by Congress and outside experts, defense analysts said,” the Post reported.

I forgot about this one… it’s good. GET SOME BYRD!!!
Senate Floor Speech –
To contemplate war is to think about the most horrible of human experiences. On this day, as this nation stands at the brink of battle, every American on some level must be contemplating the horrors of war.
Yet, this Chamber is, for the most part, silent — ominously, dreadfully silent. There is no debate, no discussion, no attempt to lay out for the nation the pros and cons of this particular war. There is nothing.
We stand passively mute in the United States Senate, paralyzed by our own uncertainty, seemingly stunned by the sheer turmoil of events. Only on the editorial pages of our newspapers is there much substantive discussion of the prudence or imprudence of engaging in this particular war.
And this is no small conflagration we contemplate. This is no simple attempt to defang a villain. No. This coming battle, if it materializes, represents a turning point in U.S. foreign policy and possibly a turning point in the recent history of the world.
This nation is about to embark upon the first test of a revolutionary doctrine applied in an extraordinary way at an unfortunate time. The doctrine of preemption — the idea that the United States or any other nation can legitimately attack a nation that is not imminently threatening but may be threatening in the future — is a radical new twist on the traditional idea of self defense. It appears to be in contravention of international law and the UN Charter. And it is being tested at a time of world-wide terrorism, making many countries around the globe wonder if they will soon be on our — or some other nation’s — hit list. High level Administration figures recently refused to take nuclear weapons off of the table when discussing a possible attack against Iraq. What could be more destabilizing and unwise than this type of uncertainty, particularly in a world where globalism has tied the vital economic and security interests of many nations so closely together? There are huge cracks emerging in our time-honored alliances, and U.S. intentions are suddenly subject to damaging worldwide speculation. Anti-Americanism based on mistrust, misinformation, suspicion, and alarming rhetoric from U.S. leaders is fracturing the once solid alliance against global terrorism which existed after September 11.
Here at home, people are warned of imminent terrorist attacks with little guidance as to when or where such attacks might occur. Family members are being called to active military duty, with no idea of the duration of their stay or what horrors they may face. Communities are being left with less than adequate police and fire protection. Other essential services are also short-staffed. The mood of the nation is grim. The economy is stumbling. Fuel prices are rising and may soon spike higher.
This Administration, now in power for a little over two years, must be judged on its record. I believe that that record is dismal.
In that scant two years, this Administration has squandered a large projected surplus of some $5.6 trillion over the next decade and taken us to projected deficits as far as the eye can see. This Administration’s domestic policy has put many of our states in dire financial condition, under funding scores of essential programs for our people. This Administration has fostered policies which have slowed economic growth. This Administration has ignored urgent matters such as the crisis in health care for our elderly. This Administration has been slow to provide adequate funding for homeland security. This Administration has been reluctant to better protect our long and porous borders.

Bohemian Grove

The Bohemian Club’s all-male membership includes artists, particularly musicians, as well as many prominent business leaders, government officials (including many current and former U.S. presidents), and senior media executives.[3][4] As a measure of the club’s exclusivity, it is reported the waiting list for membership is from 15 to 20 years. While a fast-track, three-year membership process is possible, two current members must sponsor the prospective member. An initiation fee of $25,000 (as of 2006) is required in addition to yearly membership dues. Elected members are allowed to prorate the initiation fee into equal annual payments until they reach the age of 45.
Members may invite guests to the Grove although those guests are subject to a screening procedure. A guest’s first glimpse of the Grove is typically during the “Spring Jinks”, in June, preceding the main July encampment. Bohemian club members can schedule private day-use events at the Grove any time it isn’t being used for Club-wide purposes, and are allowed at these times to bring spouses, family and friends, though female and minor guests must be off the property by 9 or 10 p.m.
After 40 years of membership the men earn “Old Guard” status, giving them reserved seating at the Grove’s daily talks, as well as other perquisites.
The Grove motto is “Weaving Spiders Come Not Here”, which implies that outside concerns and business deals are to be left outside. When gathered in groups, Bohemians usually adhere to the injunction, though discussion of business often occurs between pairs of members.[2] Important political and business deals have been developed at the Grove.[5] The Grove is particularly famous for a Manhattan Project planning meeting that took place there in September 1942, which subsequently led to the atomic bomb. Those attending this meeting, apart from Ernest Lawrence and military officials, included the president of Harvard and representatives of Standard Oil and General Electric. Grove members take particular pride in this event and often relate the story to new attendees.

Schiff gets cut off by CNN
Paul Joseph Watson
Prison Planet.com
Thursday, December 4, 2008
Technical difficulties or deliberate censorship? CNN does not usually afford a soapbox to Peter Schiff because he’s one of a rare breed of financial analysts, he can actually identify the root of the problem – the Federal Reserve.
So when Schiff was cut off during the height of his rant against the Fed, many of our readers questioned whether it was a deliberate act of sabotage.
Used to doling out a steady diet of bailout propaganda on a daily basis, CNN bosses were probably not amused when Schiff started to blame the government’s obsession with rescuing failed companies for the deepening severity of the economic crisis.
“Capitalism is not about propping up failed companies, we need to let them fail,” said Schiff, before adding, “Now of course behind it all is the Federal Reserve, if the Federal Reserve had not intervened….had they not poured all this alcohol then Wall Street wouldn’t have got drunk, but they did.”
“I am convinced that everything the government is doing to fight this off is gonna make….” said Schiff before the feed was cut.
Conspiracy or technical gremlins? Either way, it’s unlikely that CNN will invite Schiff back on should he continue to dare tell the truth about the real culprits behind the grand larceny undertaken by the government and the Federal Reserve, the cost of which now stands at $8.5 trillion dollars.

US releases first part of drug aid for Mexico
MEXICO CITY – The U.S. government finally released the first part of a $400 million aid package Wednesday to support Mexico’s police and soldiers in their fight against drug cartels. The money comes at a critical time: Mexico’s death toll from drug violence has soared above 4,000 so far this year, and drug-related murders and kidnappings are spilling over the U.S. border as well.
Doesn’t really sound like our problem right? I mean if people want to get do drugs – they will! If homos want to marry – they will! If women chose to have abortions… guess what… they will! It’s called freewill and we can’t do shit about it. So why waste the time messing with it?
So let me get this right we can help Mexico with their drug problem, bailout the auto makers, Citigroup, AIG and the rest of Wall Street. Yet, I just talked to the 3rd person I know that just got laid off and it’s obvious we are headed for worse times. I tell you it just makes me so happy to read something like this after hearing about another friend losing their job today. GO USA!
Then, I’m really running on fumes when it comes to having faith (I wanted to have faith at least until this time next year but he isn’t making it easy) that BO will do the right thing – “Obama also said Central America should get more than the $65 million in aid it is getting as part of the Merida Initiative. And while Obama has frequently criticized Colombia’s human rights record, he pledged his full support for Uribe’s fight against the leftist Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, which sustains its rebellion with cocaine profits.” Where does this money come from? We just had a 8 trillion bailout and we are running a multi-trillion fake war!
The Drug War is a failure. Let’s give up on it! Besides, when the CIA has been caught bringing up to South Central, LA. Doesn’t that kinda seem like chasing the tail a bit?
“If the United States strips us of those resources, what will be done? Where will they come from?” Andres Pastrana asked in an Associated Press interview. The former Colombian president worked with U.S. President Bill Clinton to launch Plan Colombia, which has spent more than $6 billion in U.S. aid since 2000 to fight drug trafficking and leftist rebels. <<< Great job Billy! I’m telling you folks he wasn’t that great.

Rescue Me Tackles 9/11 Issues – Daniel Sunjata
As many of you may know I love Rescue Me, it’s one of my favorite shows and I’m a big fan of Dennis Leary (the star and write of the show) as well. Recently he and some of the other cast members have started voicing their opinions on some of the 9/11 issues and it will be a focus on the upcoming season 5.
The hit TV series Rescue Me, a drama about New York City firefighters, is set to feature a 9/11 conspiracy plot in the first ten episodes of the new series, according to the show’s main star Denis Leary.
Leary revealed the details during a book signing in Los Angeles, where he also offered his forthright personal opinion on the collapse of WTC Building 7, a 47-story skyscraper that collapsed into its own footprint on the late afternoon of 9/11 despite not being hit by a plane.
“When asked by a hesitant fan as to whether or not the actor thought there should be a reinvestigation into the events leading up to and surrounding the 9/11 tragedy, Leary’s eyes lit up as he revealed that conspiracy and reinvestigation into 9/11 are, in fact, major plot lines in the first 10 episodes of Rescue Me season 5, set to premiere in April 2009 for a 22-episode run on FX,” reports L.A. Weekly.
But Leary deflected questions about the collapse of Building 7, stating, “You guys don’t want to get into that with me,” adding that he “knew several of the guys who had been there working to hold that building up.”
Perhaps Leary also knows some of the people who are on tape on 9/11 saying that the building is “about to blow up” too? Perhaps Leary can help explain how a massive skyscraper which had been structurally reinforced can implode within 7 seconds after suffering limited fires across no more than ten floors and in doing so completely defy the laws of physics?
Perhaps Leary’s friends can tell us why the Windsor Building in Madrid burned like a raging inferno for 24 hours yet retained its structural integrity?
The L.A. Weekly failed to report what happened at the end of the conversation. After the question about Building 7, security thugs stepped in, blocked the camera and proceeded to kick the protagonists out of the bookstore. There was no hostility or impoliteness on the part of the 9/11 truthers, but apparently Leary’s security thinks it necessary to physically eject anyone who expresses an opinion different to his.

The real hero in all of this is obviously Daniel Sunjata, who co-stars in Rescue Me. Sunjata has been a vocal advocate for the 9/11 truth movement in questioning 9/11 and he likely had a massive influence on the decision of the script writers to dramatize the issue. The prevalence of 9/11 truth in a plethora of different mediums is exactly what is required to spread the truth and wake up people who would not necessarily come into contact with this information through the usual channels. We applaud the staff of Rescue Me for having the fortitude to tackle this vital issue

Iceland: I wonder if complacent Americans will do the same if and when we have our meltdown?
I wonder if complacent Americans will do the same if and when we have our meltdown?
REYKJAVIK, Iceland: Thousands of Icelanders marked the 90th anniversary of their nation’s sovereignty with angry protest Monday, and several hundred stormed the central bank to demand the ouster of bankers they blame for the country’s spectacular economic meltdown.
Tiny Iceland has seen its banks and currency collapse in just a few weeks while prices and unemployment soar — leaving a country regarded as a model of Scandinavian prosperity in a state of shock.
“The government played roulette and the whole nation has lost,” writer Einar Mar Gudmundsson told a noisy but peaceful anti-government rally of several thousand people in downtown Reykjavik.
After the rally, hundreds of protesters stormed the headquarters of Sedlabanki, Iceland’s central bank, demanding the sacking of its chief, David Oddsson.
The demonstrators staged an hour-long standoff with shield-wielding riot police inside the bank’s lobby, singing songs and chanting “Out with David” and “Power to the People.” The protest ended peacefully when both police and demonstrators agreed to withdraw.
Anti-government protests have been growing larger and angrier since Iceland’s three main banks collapsed in October under the weight of huge debts amassed during years of rapid economic growth.
Since then the value of the country’s currency, the krona, has plummeted. Icelanders who grew used to buying houses and cars with easily available foreign-currency loans now struggle to repay them. The cost of everyday goods is skyrocketing — furniture retailer Ikea hiked its prices by 25 percent.

Thailand: Why couldn’t we do this w/Bush?
Why couldn’t we do this w/Bush? (or Carter or Clinton or Hoover – for those of you who have yet to see the light and still think it’s about two parties.) =)
BANGKOK, Thailand – Thailand’s prime minister was ousted Tuesday after weeks of protests closed the capital’s airports, stranding 300,000 travelers. Protesters promised to lift their siege, and international flights were expected to resume Friday.
The government of Prime Minister Somchai Wongsawat was doomed when the nation’s Constitutional Court dissolved Thailand’s top three ruling parties for electoral fraud in the 2007 vote that brought them to power. Somchai was banned from politics for five years.
Somchai did not formally resign, as the protesters had demanded for months, but accepted the ruling.
“It is not a problem. I was not working for myself. Now I will be a full-time citizen,” he told reporters in Chiang Mai, the northern city where his paralyzed administration has been forced to govern since Wednesday.
Protest leaders said the airport seizures would end Wednesday.
With the waning of the political crisis, the official in charge of Thailand’s airports said Suvarnabhumi international airport will resume operations on Friday.
“Please have confidence in us,” said Vudhibhandhu Vichairatana, the chairman of the Airports of Thailand.
He called the flights a birthday gift for Thailand’s revered King Bhumibol Adulyadej, who turns 81 on Dec. 5. The airport reopened to cargo flights Tuesday.
Officials had earlier said the airport would not reopen for commercial flights before Dec. 15, but Vudhibhandhu said he brought forward the date because an inspection revealed the airport had suffered no damage and could become operational more quickly.
After Tuesday’s court decision, government spokesman Nattawut Sai-kau said the six-party governing coalition would step down.
